The Newcastle and North of England Law Society - Property Law Seminar
On 30 September, CLSQ will be speaking at the Newcastle and North of England Law Society's fifth Property Law Seminar, an afternoon exploring the key risks and emerging issues affecting today's property practitioners. Part of our ongoing work with law societies to support and educate the sector, the seminar brings together experts from the Bar, legal indemnity insurance and the property sector, offering practical guidance on navigating construction risk, managing residential and commercial transactions and understanding the growing role of property auctions, and is relevant to anyone advising buyers, sellers, developers or commercial clients.
Representing CLSQ, Business Development Manager Claire Elliott will present 'Managing Risk in Residential & Commercial Property Transactions: When Legal Indemnity Insurance Makes Sense', a practical look at the point at which insurance becomes the right tool for expediting a transaction and protecting the parties to it, followed by a Q&A.
The wider programme, chaired by Russell Hewitson of the Newcastle and North of England Law Society, features Adam Chaffer, Barrister at Trinity Chambers, on construction risk in residential conveyancing from new build to resale, and Caroline Pattinson, Director at Keith Pattinsons Estate Agents, on the pros and cons of auction sales as a disposal strategy. The afternoon closes with networking.
The event is free to attend.
